Louis Tomlinson donates $10,000 to little girl with cerebral palsy

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has once again proven that he has a heart of gold, donating a staggering $10,000 (£7,300) to a nine-year-old girl’s online fundraiser – which was the page’s total goal.

The money will go towards medical treatment to try and help Rylee walk without assistance, as well as helping her family adapt their home to fit with the little girl’s needs.

Run by Rylee’s sister, MaKayley Sanford, the YouCaring page explains: “Rylee is nine years old and has bilateral close-lipped schizencephaly which ultimately causes her cerebral palsy.

“Schizencephaly is a very rare brain malformation which means her brain has two clefts on it. When she was born the doctors told us she would never smile or do anything. We were devastated but she has been proving those doctors wrong….

“Rylee currently can’t walk without assistance, and she crawls around our house or we carry her. Rylee can say a few words but can’t carry on a conversation. We, as her family, want to help her reach her full potential and get her all the help she needs.

“In her medical stroller she has no way of freedom as she has to rely on us. To help her reach her full ability, we need house modifications to make our home accessible and funding for certain medical needs.

“The home modifications we need are a walk-in shower, widened doorways and a ramp added to our porch. Our next goal would be stem cell treatments as there have been alot of great results.

“However, insurance will not cover most of this, and it is pretty expensive. Please help Rylee reach her full potential and achieve her dreams!!! Any donations will help!!!”

Noticing Rylee’s plight, Louis went to the page and donated the full amount required alongside the message: “Sending you all the love! Louis x”.

Needless to say, MaKayley was stunned by the star’s generosity, sharing a screenshot of his donation to her Twitter page and writing: “This was the MOST pleasant thing to wake up to this morning.

“Thank you for making my mom and I cry tears of happiness. You mean SO much to my family, and this is absolutely amazing. I honestly can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done.”

Louis regularly donates his fortune, previously organising and attending a Cinderella Ball for Believe In Magic – a charity dedicated to spreading magic to terminally and seriously ill children.

According to reports, as well as orchestrating the 2015 event Louis went on to donate a huge £2million to the charity.
