Lecretia Seales laid to rest

The woman who brought the euthanasia debate back to the forefront of New Zealand public life was laid to rest Wednesday.

Lecretia Seales' funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at Old St Paul's in Wellington.

Seales lost her battle to brain cancer early last Friday morning - just hours after receiving a court decision for her landmark fight for the right to an assisted death.

She lost the case. Justice David Collins saying parliament needs to change legislation before that could happen.
