Senegal votes in favor of reducing length of presidential term

DAKAR (Reuters) - Senegal voted in favor of constitutional changes including reducing presidential terms from seven years to five in a national referendum put forward by President Macky Sall, the election commission said on Wednesday. The 'yes' vote in Sunday's referendum won 62.7 percent of ballots from a national turnout of 38.26 percent, the commission said.
