'Days of Our Lives' First Look: Nadia Bjorlin Returns as a Series Regular

The rumors in Soapland are true: Days of Our Lives star Nadia Bjorlin, whose Chloe has made several sporadic returns to Salem this year, will rejoin the daytime drama as a series regular next spring.

Bjorlin, who debuted on Days in 1999, is the latest in a string of all-time favorite DOOL stars who have returned to the show as it celebrates its 50th anniversary, including Peter Reckell (who was quickly killed off as beloved hero Bo Brady), Stephen Nichols at Patch, Mary Beth Evans as Kayla, and, also coming next Spring, Matthew Ashford as Jack Deveraux.

Actress and singer Bjorlin, who tweeted last month that she’s expecting her first child, a son, in 2016, will return to a very different Days landscape. Not only have prominent characters like the male half of the Bo and Hope supercouple and Will Horton, one of the grooms in the first gay male wedding in daytime soap history, been killed off, but Chloe’s ex-husband (and father of her son) Daniel (Shawn Christian), is reportedly being written out of the show.

Bjorlin’s return had been rumored on soap fansites for months, and picked up steam after she participated in several Days of Our Lives: 50 Years book signings with DOOL cast members in November. She began taping scenes last week for Chloe’s late spring return, which will roughly coincide with the birth of Bjorlin’s son.

Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings.
