5 Things We Saw at New York Fashion Week: Day 2

In our continuing coverage of New York Fashion Week, we're rounding up the top five things that catch our eye each day. Follow us on Twitter and check back from now through Thursday, February 16 for our top Fashion Week picks and you won't miss a thing.

1. Polka dots at Kate Spade. Hang on to your spots-this playful trend will still be around come Fall 2012, and we loved how celeb manicurist Deborah Lippmann coordinated the nails to match the this adorable mini cross-body bag.

2. Creative digital prints at Rebecca Taylor. We've noticed a trend emerging where designers are manipulating prints digitally. This sparkly dress was actually a sequin print (the only real sequins used are the gold ones on the bust) and they look so real even up close.

3. Diversity at Rebecca Minkoff. We think we're seeing a bit more diversity at New York Fashion Week, and all progress is good progress. This gorgeous Asian model completely rocked a black and white ensemble at Rebecca Minkoff.

4. Pamela Love's tribal jewelry. We love a good statement necklace, but oversized beads and crystals are starting to bore us. These gold pieces look special and unique.

5. Natural hair at Nicole Miller.
Her show had a psychedelic '60s vibe inspired by Jimi Hendrix, and hair stylists were instructed to celebrate natural hair textures. Let's hope this becomes a big beauty trend this year.
