Grade: A-The royal wedding has arrived, and it sure was fancy! The blushing bride, Kate Middleton, stunned in an Alexander McQueen gown, while Prince William looked dapper and utterly swoon-worthy in uniform. Check out the new royal couple, and all the lucky guests wearing proper morning dress attire and outrageous fascinator hats. The bride was absolutely breathtaking this morning in her Alexander McQueen gown. Creative director Sarah Burton used hand-cut English lace and French Chantilly lace throughout the bodice and skirt, while the ivory and white satin gazar skirt was designed to emulate a flower. How lovely! We liked Kate’s sweetheart bodice and the lace sleeves, and her ensemble looked both retro and modern at the same time, especially with her hair refreshingly worn down. It reminded us of Grace Kelly’s wedding gown, only more wearable. The 1936 Cartier halo tiara was lent to her by Queen Elizabeth, but her diamond drop earrings were wedding present from her parents. William wore a Colonel of the Irish Guards uniform, which features a scarlet red jacket, blue sash from the Order of the Garter, and a forage cap. The Army's honorary Irish Guards position, which he earned in February, is his highest military title.
