On the Rampage: Anxious to deliver a big KO on Ryan Bader at UFC 144 for all his fans

Quinton Jackson (L) looks to get back on track against Ryan Bader at UFC 144

Editor's note: This is the final installment of three exclusive Yahoo! Sports blogs from Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as he trains for his UFC 144 fight against Ryan Bader Saturday in Japan.

TOKYO – This is going to be a little short because I'm cutting weight and getting a little hungry. Everything is cool, weight is going good, and I have no bad nerves whatsoever. I am very anxious to put on a great show, though. I want to go back to my street soldier, street brawler roots. The only nerves I have are worrying that I put on a great fight.

Because I want to put on a great fight so badly, I was expecting to feel more nervous than I am. The only time I really got nervous was in the PRIDE tournament when I had Chuck Liddell and then Wanderlei Silva. I expected some nerves, but I think I know how hard I worked for this fight and how hard I trained, and that's taking care of the nerves.

I always wanted to come to visit Japan even before I was an MMA fighter. My oldest brother learned Japanese and would tell me things about the people and stuff, and I was a huge video game player as a kid. I still am and all the cool video games seemed to be from Japan.

So I was always looking for a way to get to Japan and when I did, I loved it from the start. Now Japan is part of my family. My kids are part Japanese and their family is here.

But I love all my fans. I don't love all MMA fans, but I love MY fans. There's a difference. My fans are so loyal and I want to put on such great fights and win with big slams and knockouts for them. I get some haters on Twitter but I think they will miss me when I am gone from MMA. And I will miss MMA, for real.

People think because I fight for money that I'm all about money. I'm not. I'm just honest; I'm being real. I wouldn't be getting into no Octagon or no PRIDE ring for free and any fighter who says he would is either just starting out or is a damn liar. I can be in a restaurant hanging out with my kids or friends rather than having sweaty dudes on top of me and running around like a madman. People who say they would do that for free, year after year, aren't real.

But they do pay me and I do love fighting. I'm no different than any other guy who gets paid and likes his job. The press conference, the training, they are parts of my job and I am happy to do them, but the part of my job I love is getting in exciting fights.

I feel in my heart I'm still one of the best fighters in the world. I want to prove that Saturday night. I'm blowing this Ryan Bader kid out of the water.
