7 Drugstore Picks Celebrity Makeup Artists Hoard
Listen, I shop at the drugstore for makeup. Why? Because gas for my car takes priority over a $40 foundation. At least most days.
I'm not the only one rollin' up to the CVS in my used Toyota Corolla, either. Throughout my career as a beauty editor, I've snuck a peek into a ton of celebrity makeup artists' cases and without fail, I spy with my little budget-friendly eye at least a few drugstore brands. And for some reason, I'm always a little bit surprised.

These people have access to every fancy pants product out there, yet they stockpile these drugstore products and use 'em on their fabulous celebrity clients.
Don't get me wrong. They certainly turn their nose up at many a drugstore eyeshadow or lip gloss. But those aren't the products I'm interested in. I want to know the ones they choose over the prestige products. The ones they think work as good or even better than their way more expensive department store counterparts.
So which drugstore makeup products are these? I asked A-list celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman to tag along with me to CVS and tell me what I should get to pull off fall's hottest looks. Here's what he tossed into my basket.
