Kelly Clarkson & Tamyra Gray Honor Whitney Houston at Atlanta Concert

Two of "American Idol" Season 1's greatest voices, winner Kelly Clarkson and fourth-placer Tamyra Gray (who you may remember as the first big shocker elimination in "Idol" history), reunited onstage last night at Atlanta's Fox Theater, to duet on the late Whitney Houston's "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)." The result, as one might expect, was vocally epic.

"I've been waiting to sing one of her songs since she passed; I'm a huge Whitney Houston fan," Kelly told the screaming crowd, before introducing her old friend Tamyra as "one of the most amazing singers I have heard, ever."

"It's such a shame, man," Kelly said after their duet. "Such a frickin' awesome, talented person, [dead] at 48. That's so sad. But we can remember [Whitney] with her awesome music."

Which is exactly what Kelly and Tamyra did at the Fox Theater--wonderfully. Whitney would be very proud.
