5 Things We Saw at New York Fashion Week: Day 6

In our continuing coverage of New York Fashion Week, we're rounding up the top five things that catch our eye each day. Follow us on Twitter and check back from now through Thursday, February 16 for our top Fashion Week picks and you won't miss a thing.

1. Seeing red at J. Crew.
Forget blah neutrals-the preppy retailer showed how red accessories can make any ensemble look pulled-together and glamorous. This is one trend we're ready to try now!

2. Shoulder to shoulder at Badgley Mischka. We've seen many red carpet gowns playing up shoulders this season, but this beaded number makes us wanna shimmy.

3. Joan Rivers! We bumped into the glam comedienne making Fashion police arrests at Lincoln Center and had to ask for a photo. Also in the tents today: Matt Damon (at Naeem Khan). Renee Zellweger, Oscar nominee Viola Davis, Maria Sharapova, and Leighton Meester (at Vera Wang), Susan Lucci, Ivanka Trump and Star Jones (at Dennis Basso), and Kelly Osbourne (at Badgley Mischka).

4. Feminine tweeds at Oscar de la Renta. This skirt suit is amazingly unfussy and makes us yearn to be ladies who lunch.

5. Ornate details at Naeem Khan.
From the audience this gown looked like it was made of thousands of shiny coins. We wonder how many days it took to make.
