5 Things We Saw at New York Fashion Week: Day 5

In our continuing coverage of New York Fashion Week, we're rounding up the top five things that catch our eye each day. Follow us on Twitter and check back from now through Thursday, February 16 for our top Fashion Week picks and you won't miss a thing.

1. Upscale belts at Jenny Packham. We've seen a return to belted looks this season, but we were particularly fond of the cinching at Jenny Packham, one of Kate Middleton's favorite designers. A contrasting waist keeps this silver beaded gown modern and fresh.

2. Renee Zellweger at Carolina Herrera. The A-list actress is a long time Herrera devotee, and she came by today to examine some new red carpet options up close.

3. Attractive earth tones at Rachel Roy. It's easy to see why Roy is a favorite amongst celebs and first lady Michelle Obama-she can makes even drab olive green look chic.

4. Next level cutouts at Reem Acra. We're both dumbfounded and amazed by the sexy, asymmetric flashes of skin we saw on the runway today.

5. It's a mod world at Betsey Johnson.
Twiggy served as inspiration for the 1960s-themed "Betseymania" presentation. In typical Betsey fashion, the styles were fun, festive, and over-the-top, but as we snapped this photo we couldn't help but love the temporary British invasion.
