A Day of Champions

To donate: Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program

This week, Yahoo! Sports features a series of stories in support of A Day of Champions – a family oriented, sports-themed event on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, in downtown Los Angeles.

A Day of Champions will feature open access to the largest private collection of sports memorabilia in the world at the Sports Museum of Los Angeles and raise funds for the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

Our coverage will give you an exclusive glimpse inside this rare sports memorabilia collection, introduce you to athletes who are supporting the cause and show you how the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program is saving and changing lives.

The Sports Museum of Los Angeles covers 32,000 square feet and contains more than 10,000 pieces of memorabilia collected by founder and CEO Gary Cypress over a 25-year period. The collection is valued in the millions of dollars.

To donate, volunteer or find out how to attend A Day of Champions, please visit the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program home page.
