Who Will Win The Ford 400?

Greg Biffle: Finally, Biffle's season of wasting fast cars will come to an end. Two weeks ago at Texas was one of those times when Biffle sped on pit road after qualifying on the pole. On Sunday at Homestead, Biffle and team will finally capitalize on a great car and he'll grab the win. – Nick Bromberg

Matt Kenseth: A Ford winning at the Ford 400? Say it ain't so! But Kenseth is the classic woulda-shoulda-coulda candidate of this Chase, and he's set up well to run an exceptional race this weekend at Homestead. He won the race in 2007, and will be up front all race long. – Jay Busbee

Carl Edwards: Seven starts, six top 10s, two wins. That's Edwards' stat line at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Expect all the Roush Fenway cars to qualify up front, be there most of the day and Edwards to be the one taking the checkered flag. – Jay Hart

Who Will Win The 2011 Sprint Cup title?

The situation is this: Carl Edwards leads Tony Stewart by three points going into the season finale. If Edwards beats Stewart in Sunday's race, he's the 2011 Sprint Cup champion. If Stewart wins the race, he's the champ. That's the easy part. Now, for the more complicated scenarios:

• If Edwards leads the most laps and Stewart doesn't lead a lap, Stewart must finish at least five spots ahead of Edwards.
• If Edwards leads a lap and Stewart doesn't, Stewart must finish at least four spots ahead of Edwards.
• If both Edwards and Stewart lead a lap, Stewart must finish at least three spots ahead of Edwards.
• If Stewart and Edwards tie for the most laps led, Stewart needs to finish three spots ahead of Edwards.
• If Stewart leads a lap and Edwards doesn't, Stewart needs to finish two spots ahead of Edwards.
• If neither Edwards or Stewart lead a lap, Stewart must finish at least three spots ahead of Edwards.
• If Stewart leads the most laps and Edwards leads a lap, Stewart needs to finish two spots in front of Edwards.
• If Stewart leads the most laps and Edwards doesn't lead a lap, Stewart needs only to finish ahead of Edwards.

Edwards

Tony Stewart: Boy, this is the toughest pick of the season. Neither Edwards nor Stewart can shake one another, which plays into Edwards' hands as he's the one with the points lead. Considering how well Edwards is running, it's not totally inconceivable that Stewart would have to win the race to win the title Roush Fenway is great at Homestead, and it's the Ford 400. So I'm going Stewart. Yeah, I know. It's really that much of a tossup. – Nick Bromberg

Carl Edwards: I know, I know, I know I picked Tony Stewart earlier in the Chase. And the younger, pre-journalist Smoke fan version of me would punch me in the face for this. But while Stewart is running so well right now, Edwards is just relentless. If he was a lap down when the white flag flew, I'd still figure there'd be a way for him to get back into the top 10. Stewart is driving as well as you possibly can, but Edwards is on another level of consistency. Carl Edwards, 2011 Sprint Cup Champion. – Jay Busbee

Carl Edwards: There's no choke in Edwards. If there was, we would have seen it at Phoenix when Tony Stewart was leading lap after lap after lap. Despite that, Edwards never panicked, ran his race and wound up finishing second, one spot better than Stewart. That was enough to convince me that Edwards has the mental wherewithal to go toe-to-toe with Stewart and win the 2011 Cup championship. – Jay Hart

From The Source

Tony Stewart: "[The experience of having won a championship] is definitely an advantage, but I'm not going to tell you why because that's what I'm going to take to Homestead with me. We win this thing, I'll tell you what the advantage is and why, but not until then."
