2011 playoff picture: Steelers grab top seed for now

While the defending-champion Packers are in pursuit of perfection, everyone else is trying to wreck their hopes. Here's a look at the playoff picture through Week 13.

1. Green Bay Packers (12-0)
Have clinched the NFC North and have a two-game lead over the 49ers for home-field advantage in the playoffs.

2. San Francisco 49ers (10-2)
Have clinched the NFC West and have a one-game lead over the Saints for a first-round playoff bye.
Next: At Cardinals (Dec. 11)

3. New Orleans Saints (9-3)
Have a two-game lead over the Falcons in the NFC South. Also are two games ahead of the Cowboys for the No. 3 spot.
Next: At Titans (Dec. 11)

4. Dallas Cowboys (7-5)
Have a one-game lead over the Giants in the NFC East.
Next: Home vs. Giants (Dec. 11)

1. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3)
Currently a half-game ahead of the Ravens but lose the head-to-head tiebreaker.
Next: At 49ers (Dec. 19)

2. New England Patriots (9-3)
Lead the strength of victory tiebreaker over the Texans (46-62 vs. 41-67) for the No. 2 seed. Would clinch the AFC East with a win and Jets loss.

3. Houston Texans (9-3)
Have a two-game lead over the Titans in the AFC South.
Next: At Bengals (Dec. 11)

4. Denver Broncos (7-5)
Tied atop the AFC West with the Raiders, but currently own the tiebreaker because of a better divisional record (3-2 vs. 2-2).
Next: Home vs. Bears (Dec. 11)

5. Chicago Bears (7-5)
Have a better conference record (6-3) than the Lions (5-5) and beat the Falcons head-to-head.

6. Atlanta Falcons (7-5)
Tied with the Lions for the last playoff spot but beat the Lions head-to-head. Have a one-game lead over the Giants.
Next: At Panthers (Dec. 11)

5. Baltimore Ravens (9-3)
Trail the Steelers by a half-game but own the tiebreaker edge because of a series sweep of Pittsburgh. Trail a tiebreaker with the Patriots but own a head-to-head tiebreaker over the Texans.
Next: Home vs. Colts (Dec. 11)

6. Cincinnati Bengals (7-5)
Currently in the final spot because of a better conference record (6-4) than the Titans (5-4), Raiders (5-5) and Jets (5-5).
