Daily TV round-up – Louis for the 'X Factor' axe?

Louis Walsh's future on the 'X Factor' panel is in doubt, according to reports.

The Irish judge was forced to make an embarrassing apology on last night's results show after he accused singer Misha B of bullying.

Now it's thought that Walsh could be given the boot with Simon Cowell returning for next year's show.

Walsh was ditched once in 2007, with choreographer Brian Friedman briefly replacing him before he was rehired.

2.5 million viewers have turned off the show since last year, and ITV executives have reportedly begged Cowell to return.

“I'm flattered that people are missing me - but I don't want anyone to miss the show,” said Cowell.

A source told The Sun that 'the likelihood is that Louis will be gone next year - and Simon could make a welcome return. It doesn't take a genius to work out that Simon not being on has hit the ratings'.

It’s unlikely that many Yahoo! TV users would miss Louis on the panel, judging by some of the comments received about this weekend’s show.

“I think Louis is the wrong person to be a judge on ‘X Factor’… because he is not 100% behind all his acts”, said David.

Meanwhile, Joanna added: “Clearly Louis was very unprofessional last night in allowing his personal rift to cloud his professional judgement. I am very disappointed in him!”
