Savage breaks nose on Strictly

Ex-footballer Robbie Savage has broken his nose while performing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The notorious hard man is lighting up the dancefloor every Saturday night on the popular BBC1 show, but this week he had an altercation with one of the cameras.

The ex-Derby County captain relived his goal scoring celebration by sliding across the floor to plant a kiss on the camera.

However, Robbie, now 37, misjudged his speed and clattered into the camera nose-first leaving him red-faced in more ways than one.

He put a picture of his injury online, saying: "This was commitment for you!! Lol smashed my huge nose on the camera!!” (sic).

Meanwhile, celebrity astrologer and vixen on the dance floor, Russell Grant, has also come a cropper. He had to have his knee strapped up after his glorious tango with partner Flavia Cacace.

Yesterday, Russell was preparing for an MRI scan on a suspected torn ligament which would see him forced from the competition.

A show insider said: "Russell is so worried. And everyone else is too — they all love Russell."

After a weekend of spills and thrills, Sunday saw the exit of impressionist Rory Bremner from the show. Having scored 24 out of 40 for his cha-cha-cha he became the third celebrity to be booted off after Nancy Dell’Olio was saved by the public vote.
