Getting help with Postnatal Depression

[See more Bumps, Babies and Beyond: Losing a baby - a real story]

Even though one in ten mums suffers from Postnatal Depression (PND), it is often poorly understood by those affected.

PND is often confused with the baby blues where you feel miserable, weepy, tired and tense during the first few days after birth. However, Postnatal Depression, is a serious illness that is unlikely to go away without treatment.

In this episode of Bumps, Babies & Beyond, mum-of-two Rachel Finch describes what pushed her to try and take her own life after the birth of her first child.

Rachel talks to Myleene about the reasons why she believes she suffered from Postnatal Depression and discusses the tell tale signs to look for and the best way to support other mums who might be suffering.

Bumps, Babies & Beyond with Myleene Klass is a 48-part video series exclusive to Yahoo! Lifestyle.
