Florida wakes up in time to block a punt and return it for a win (VIDEO)

The Sun Belt has been a thorn the SEC's side all year and has not been the easy game SEC teams have used on their schedule to offset the tough conference season.

However, it was like Florida forgot that, and slept through the majority of its contest against Louisiana-Lafayette and nearly suffered a ridiculous loss in what has otherwise been a fantastic season.

But with just a few seconds remaining on the clock, Florida's Jelani Jenkins returned a blocked punt 36 yards for a touchdown with 2 seconds remaining to give the Gators a come-from-behind 27-20 victory.

Less than 2 minutes earlier, Florida tied the game at 20 with a 3-yard pass from Jacoby Brissett to Quinton Dunbar. Louisiana-Lafayette seemed content to run a couple plays and play for overtime, but it was not to be. Loucheiz Purifoy got his hand on Brett Baer's punt and popped it up to Jenkins in shallow left field.

It was clear Florida wasn't focused on this game. Perhaps it was thinking about Georgia's game against Auburn. If the Bulldogs win, they go to the SEC title game. If they lose, Florida goes. If that happens, maybe the Gators the Gators can put their last two games - both close wins - behind them.
