Go inside Ivanka Trump’s 10-room Park Avenue pad

The name Trump is synonymous with big bucks and luxury real estate, so it's no surprise that Donald Trump's eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, lives in some pretty swanky digs. The 30-year-old opened the 10-room New York City apartment that she shares with her publisher husband Jared Kushner and 14-month-old daughter Arabella Rose to Elle Decor. While Trump, a self-admitted perfectionist, was meticulous about making sure every aspect of the apartment, which sits on the fabled Park Avenue, was absolutely flawless when she first moved in, giving birth to her daughter has changed her attitude a bit, especially since babies tend not to pay quite as much attention to keeping their residences in tip-top shape. "I had a baby and realized that everything that I'd done was going to hell very quickly. Yes, I'd gotten it perfect, but now let the slow, gradual erosion begin. Needless to say, I have mellowed," Trump explains.

Trump, who works as executive vice president of development and acquisitions for her dad's organization, hired interior designer Kelly Behun to help turn the apartment into what's now a sleek mix of old and new. The custom-made, alpaca-upholstered headboard in the master bedroom sits next to 1940s French stools. The living room also includes a few one-of-a-kind pieces, including a custom-made sofa and rug, along with vintage Jindrich Halabala armchairs and a 1970s cocktail table.

The outcome is what Behun has dubbed "modern warm," and it's a far cry from the ornate homes Trump grew up in with parents Donald and Ivana. "Being traditional and feminine, I wanted luxury and glamour, while Jared gravitates toward the modern, which can be austere," she explains.

And if her attitude about her apartment is any indication, she and Kushner will be converting another one of their 10 rooms into a nursery in the not-so-distant future.

"I want a home where kids can live happily and my husband can put his feet on the table or lie on the sofa watching TV and not be worried," she shares. "Nothing should be so precious that you can't use it."
