Peanut Butter Recalled Due to Salmonella

Valencia Creamy Salted Peanut Butter sold at Trader Joe's has been linked to a salmonella outbreak that has sickened 29 people in 18 states.

The peanut butter, which is sold in 16-ounce plastic jars and features an illustration of an elephant, should be tossed in the garbage or returned to Trader Joe's for a full refund.

Symptoms of salmonella poisoning are diarrhea, cramps and fever 12 to 72 hours after eating the infected food. Children are particularly susceptible, and can require hospitalization.
