NC State fan in a wheelchair leads charge to center court after Wolfpack beats Duke

Will Privette is a brave guy, and his willingness to take a big risk made him the focal point of one of the best smile-provoking and simultaneously scary moments of the college basketball season so far.

Privette has spent his life in a wheelchair. He was born with leg deformities, but he didn't let that stop him from enjoying the thrill of his school's big win along with his fellow students and fans when NC State beat No. 1 ranked Duke 84-76 on Saturday.

Privette told USA Today Sports that he allowed student body president Andy Walsh to push him into the center of the celebration where Wolfpack forward C.J. Leslie picked him up and cradled him after he lost his wheelchair. He credited Leslie with possibly saving his life and definitely allowing him to have a great memory he'll remember the rest of his life.

“It was the dumbest thing I've done in college but it was awesome,” Privette told USA Today.
