Insane travel alert: The "hold-everything" airport vest for families with baggage

Want to pack more efficiently and humiliate your kids in the process? You could try using an old fanny pack. Been there, done that.

Or you could go one step further with The Big Pocket Travel Jacket. Rufus Roo, a British Company, is selling this parka designed not to fit anyone and hold up to 22 extra pounds of luggage.

Gizmodo's Kelly Hodgkins picked up on the fashion novelty this morning and kindly imagined why anyone would buy it: "The Travel jacket is a response to the hefty fees airlines charge for extra baggage. It bucks the system by letting you wear your travel items, not stuff them in a bag."

The jacket, equipped with four massive zipper pockets, retails for about $50 and comes in six different colors-none of which make it any more flattering or less suspicious. "That person in the nylon haz-mat vest stuffed with socks, a blow dryer and batteries is just packing smartly," thinks your friendly airport security guard.

Here are some things Rufus Roo suggests you fill your pockets with: a stuffed panda, scuba gear, little girls' shoes, and Richard Branson's autobiography.

If you can't fit all of that in your coat, use the nearest child. It fits them too, see? They love your baggage!
