Young Leeds fan meets El Hadji Diouf while dressed as Diouf (and in blackface)

There are so many bewildering elements to this picture that it takes a while to try and compute it all. It was taken at Elland Road, where Leeds played Bolton on New Year's Day and all too clearly shows a smiling El Hadji Diouf posing for a picture with a young fan dressed up as him. And yes, the kid is in blackface.

The makeup is obviously regrettable. But beyond that, the fact that someone as villainous as Diouf has fans (let alone fans that young) is terrifying. Diouf himself seems to enjoy it all and judging by the other pictures on the kid's Twitter account (which include several more of the two Dioufs together), other members of the Leeds squad and staff enjoyed it too. The account also claims that a picture of him was taken for the club's matchday program.
