How a son keeps his late father's dream alive by rallying a 1951 Chrysler New Yorker

Jake Auerbach says that the bond with his father was formed due to their passion for cars. They competed vintage rallies together, with Jake as the navigator and his dad as the driver. A 1951 Chrysler New Yorker was the rally car of choice, but despite their best efforts, luck had it that the pair never won a race.

After his father passed in Dec. 2012, Jake soon entered another rally in the New Yorker – a race he won and says the irony "is overwhelming." The Auerbachs' dream, however, was to take the New Yorker abroad and compete together in the historic Peking to Paris rally. Despite his father's death, Jake remains determined to be on the start line.
