Kent State LB runs a fumble the wrong direction

The first weekend of college football is difficult, especially for a sophomore that only played in spot time last season.

So perhaps Kent State will forgive linebacker Andre Parker for picking up a muffed punt and running it 58 yards — in the wrong direction. Yep, Parker fielded the ball inside the 10 and had a mere 7 yards to get into his own end zone to give his team a score. Instead, he got turned around and started running the other direction. Lucky for him, Towson players, who were equally as clueless, tackled him instead of allowing him to get all the way into the end zone for two points.

In the end, the entire thing didn't count. You can't advance a muffed punt. The ball was dead when Parker picked it up and Kent State ended up kicking a field goal.

So maybe Parker, his teammates and coaches can all laugh about this in the future, but it shouldn't stop Parker's teammates from putting arrows all over the locker room so he knows which direction to go at all times.
