Sex & Texting: Survey Reveals Startling New Stats

Just how attached are you to your mobile phone? According to OnlineCollege.org, 10 percent of people under 25 text during sex. Among all adults surveyed, 15 percent said they would answer a phone call in the middle of sex. Do your friends really need a play-by-play, 160-character description while you are naked, under the sheets with your significant other?

Would you include a photo attachment? Apparently, many singles find it appropriate. Sexting and texting have become mainstream for young women. Earlier this year, a Harlequin romance report showed that 43 percent of women aged 18-40 engage in sexting. As women, we want a commitment from the men we are dating, which is why 65 percent of those sexting think it is fine if they are in a serious relationship. Thirty-six percent of casual daters admitted to sending a risqué message after only a few dates. Will he have to say "I love you" to get sex and a text?

Sexting and texting scandals have caused a few divorces, including Tiger Woods' and Eva Longoria's. A few political careers have been obliterated after pushing the send button. Even Charlie Sheen, before saying goodbye to Twitter, sent tweets while having sex with his former girlfriend, Bree Olsen.
