Melissa Joan Hart welcomes her third son – and tells us she’ll likely go for a fourth!

Melissa Joan Hart has an extensive background in television, from '90s series "Clarissa Explains It All" to her current show "Melissa & Joey," so it's only fitting that she announced the arrival of her third child — a son — by tweeting the opening title card for "My Three Sons." Tucker Wilkerson was born at 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Hart's 8 pound, 5 ounce baby boy joins dad Mark Wilkerson, who is Hart's husband of nearly 10 years, and big brothers Mason, 6, and Braydon, 4. In addition to the "My Three Sons" reference, the 36-year-old wrote, "Baby boy Tucker has finally arrived. We waited all year to meet this lil man and we could not be more excited and relieved that he is in our arms!"

Exactly two weeks ago we spent time with Hart at her East Coast baby shower at Make Meaning, located on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Hart was flanked by 20 of her closest friend at the crafty venue — a favorite of Katie Holmes and Suri — for a day of pre-baby fun, including cake decorating, glitter tattoo application, and girl talk. At the time she was unaware of the gender of the baby — she and Wilkerson opted not to find out this time around — but it wasn't hindering her preparations. "I've gotten some gear — basic things like swings that are white or off-white — but I already had a lot of stuff and I'm reusing it," Hart told omg!. "The nursery was set up from when Mason was born and it's very generic with greens and golds, and suns and moons. We decided to keep it the same way, but made small changes — like we got new curtains. We did make a little sitting area off our closet, so that is where the baby will sleep in the beginning. We painted the wall lavender, which I guess is kind of girly, but it's baby — and it's only in the beginning. My mom also got us the most beautiful new cradle."

Hart, who is one of eight children herself, also revealed her plans for expanding her family further. "I really would like four [kids], but it depends on how this one treats us," she said. "If this is a tough baby — if it is colicky or has any issues we may need a little more focus on, then we might forgo the fourth. But I would really like to have another. I just don't want to be pregnant again, so we'll have to see. One at a time."

Leading up to the birth of Tucker, Hart was hard at work on her upcoming memoir, which will detail her life in showbiz from an early age up through life as a married mom, who relocated her family from Hollywood to Westport, Connecticut, nearly three years ago. So will the "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" star be delivering any shockers in this book? "A little bit," promised Hart, who has seemingly navigated the turbulent waters of child stardom better than many of her peers. "I'm sure when I'm doing some talk shows [to promote the book], there will be some uncomfortable questions. I'm sure some friends and family will be calling me."

For now she's been the one doing the calling — fact checking stories from her past with her nearest and dearest, hoping to fill in some blanks. "Everyone's memories are different," said Hart, whose book will be released in fall 2013. "My memories are very different from what my mom might remember or my sister might remember. Even as I'm running stuff by them they're like, 'That's not how I remember it.' It's been tricky. And it's amazing how much I don't remember. There are so many topics I have to ask for help on. Like [when I'm writing about] an ex-boyfriend, it's 'When we met? Who was in the car? How did that happen? Where were we?' So I'm having to go back and ask people some of these questions."

With production of "Melissa & Joey" on hiatus until early 2013, Hart can happily nest at home in Westport with her boys for the next few months — not worrying about making the cross-country trips to Los Angeles, where she films with her co-star Joey Lawrence. Since she moved her family to the tony coastal town in 2009, she lives a relatively low-key life — just last week she attended a local high school football game, tweeting a photo from the sidelines — and she has made a slew of friends. Gesturing around the room at the guests at her baby shower, Hart smiled while telling omg!, "These are mostly Westport girls. I love living there. It's so beautiful. It's so relaxing. I'm never sitting in traffic. There's like one stoplight in town. It's not L.A., where just to get anywhere takes 45 minutes. I want to go to my friend's house? It's three miles away. I rarely have to fill my gas tank because you don't have to go that far. I get a lot of privacy there. It's all pretty perfect."

Yep, sounds like it.
