Gavin Rossdale gives son Kingston a lesson in boogie boarding

Rocker Gavin Rossdale proved yet again he's one fun father when he took eldest son Kingston into the Atlantic for a boogie boarding session on Tuesday. Rossdale hung on to his bare-chested 6-year-old and gave him a few pointers as the two waited for the next big wave. Both Rossdales went with matching surfer styles, donning board shorts and necklaces, with little Kingston throwing on a snorkel mask at one point.

The 46-year-old Bush frontman and his wife, No Doubt songstress Gwen Stefani, 42, are currently on holiday with their two boys (including younger son Zuma, who turns 4 on August 20) in Palm Beach, Florida. Despite the fact it's not usually a summer tourist destination thanks to the heat and humidity, the couple is clearly finding the sultry South Florida weather romantic. On Monday, Gwen and Gavin were spotted smooching and holding hands as they walked along the beach.

With divorces as common as personal trainers in the world of showbiz, how have Rossdale and Stefani managed to keep their relationship strong? According to Stefani, she gets a little help from cosmetics, telling Harper's Bazaar recently that she makes sure to wear a full face of makeup all the time, even at home. "I like to make my husband like me more," the No Doubt singer said in the magazine's September issue. "And he likes it when I'm wearing makeup. I've always been a girl who loves to dress up."

Stefani must be choosing the right shade of lipstick … the couple will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary next month.
