Sandusky timeline: How we got to Tuesday’s sentencing

It's been more than a year since the sexual abuse former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky inflicted on several young boys came to light, and on Tuesday, there was finally a measure of closure.

Sandusky was sentenced to no less than 30 years and no more than 60 in prison for 45 counts of child sex abuse.

Sandusky's sexual misdeeds, which occurred from 1994-2009, had a profound effect not only on Sandusky and the boys involved, but also on Penn State and many of the administrators there.

And while Sandusky maintains his innocence, his name will always be synonymous with one of the great atrocities in this country and one of the worst scandals to ever rock the NCAA.
