Gwen Stefani makes feisty, fun, and fashionable appearance with No Doubt on ‘GMA’

Gwen Stefani helped kick off the weekend right with a feisty, fun, and fashionable appearance with No Doubt on "Good Morning America" on Friday. The band -- celebrating their 25th anniversary as a group by releasing their sixth studio album, Push and Shove -- woke up New York City with a four-song set performed in Central Park, which included their new song "Settle Down," as well as old faves "It's My Life," "Spiderwebs," and "Underneath It All."

"It's not all fun on the record. That's for sure," Stefani, who has two young sons with husband Gavin Rossdale, said on the morning show. "There's always something to complain about. There's a little bit of being overwhelmed on the record ... because it was really hard trying to find the time with those two little bunny rabbits I made. It's crazy. I would do that all day and then try and show up and write songs in this little window of time. And it took a long time and it was a real big effort, but totally worth it. The music is just, it's heavenly. I love it."

Although Stefani said it exhausting balancing music making and motherhood , the 42-year-old California native looked as good as ever on Friday. She was outfitted in red for the concert, with a sleeveless cowl-neck top, hip-hugging pants, and tartan plaid knee-high boots. Underneath her shirt she had a red bra-like top.

Starting from about 5:30 a.m. ET, Stefani shared her beauty regime with her Twitter followers. The singer -- who joined the social networking site in March and frequently shares fun, personal photos -- detailed her glamorization process, posting photos of her having her hair and makeup done in her hotel room. In a video she shared, she was extremely chipper considering the early hour.

"That was fun. Thank u," Stefani posted after the concert. Adding, "Thanks for following my Twitter muffins."

"Settle Down" debuted on the US singles chart at No. 34. The album, Push and Shove, will be released September 25.
