Tips for talking to your teenage daughter about contraception

It’s probably one of the most awkward and uncomfortable conversations parents will have with their teenage daughter: contraception. Ob-Gyn, Dr. Rebecca Brightman says her patients are always asking her for advice on how to begin the dialogue. Dr. Brightman says it’s never too early to talk to your teen about contraception. She suggests parents evaluate their daughter's maturity, listen for signs of interest about contraception, and research the latest information on contraceptive methods.
