Saints QB Drew Brees: Nobody trusts commissioner Roger Goodell
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, a member of the players' union executive board, told Sports Illustrated that respect and trust are issues that should concern commissioner Roger Goodell.

"Nobody trusts him. Nobody trusts him," Brees said. "I'm not talking about a DUI, or using a gun in a strip club, which are pretty clear violations. I think there're too many times where the league has come to its decision in a case before calling a guy in, and the interview is just a façade. I think now if a guy has to come in to talk to Roger, he'll be very hesitant because he'll think the conclusion has already been reached."
The Saints spent the offseason in the crosshairs of Goodell and the NFL. The pay-for-performance scandal has the team in a unique predicament, operating without head coach Sean Payton for the 2012 season and likely to be without suspended linebacker Jonathan Vilma.
Vilma filed for a temporary restraining order against Goodell in hopes of overturning his yearlong suspension and a judge is expected to rule on the matter this week after getting clarification on documents from the NFLPA.
