Weapons found in 2 bags at Bradley Airport

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) — Two men have been arrested in separate incidents at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut after security officials found weapons in their carry-on luggage.

State police say 81-year-old Joseph Hunt of Merritt Island, Fla. was caught by Transportation Security Administration screeners just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday with a loaded 9mm pistol inside his bag.

Police say Hunt had a Florida permit for the gun, but not a Connecticut permit and made no effort to alert TSA agents to the weapon.

Several hours earlier, 34-year-old Stefan Tsikhotskit of Wheeling, Ill. was taken into custody after agents found a BB gun inside his carry-on luggage.

Tsikhotskit and Hunt both were scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court on Wednesday.
