Red carpet mix up: This woman with the plump pout is not Sylvester Stallone’s mother, Jackie

Whoa, mama! Following the Los Angeles premiere of "The Expendables 2" last Thursday night, photos popped up all over the Internet of this attendee (left), who was identified as Sylvester Stallone's mother. Could this woman — showing off her shapely gams in a black mini-skirt and playing up her plump pout — really be the action star's 90-year-old mother? As in 9-0? It seemed so: Her age-defying image appeared everywhere, from news sites to celebrity plastic-surgery blogs.

The only problem? Well, it wasn't Jackie Stallone at all.

After Sly caught a report on "Access Hollywood" about the premiere of his latest movie — and "his mother" was featured prominently in the red carpet coverage — he called the TV show to set the record straight, saying that the nonagenarian who gave birth to him didn't attend the premiere in the first place. So how did the mix up happen? It apparently traces back to a photo agency misidentifying the woman as Sly's senior citizen mom — and other photo groups followed suit. The woman — whose name is Ivone Weldon — was first thought to be an imposter who crashed the premiere and told everyone that she was Jackie. However, she was actually a guest at the premiere and attended with a group of about six people. Little is known about Weldon otherwise, but she does have a Facebook profile and there's not a single Stallone among her 77 friends.

The confusion could also be related to a resemblance between the women. Weldon looks a little like Sly's mom, who is quite a colorful character. On Jackie's official website — yes, Sly's mom has an official website — she lists her profession as "world famous and internationally esteemed astrologer and psychic." Her area of expertise is in Rumpology — also known as "butt reading" — during which "the lines, crevices, dimples, and folds of the buttocks" are read to predict the future. She's written a book, "Starpower," and has appeared on Howard Stern's radio show as well as "Oprah," "Larry King Live," and "Late Show With David Letterman."

In addition to predicting the future based on the buttocks, she's had some other interesting jobs. "I have been a circus aerialist, a Broadway show girl, a Radio City Music Hall 'Rockette,' a beautician, author, host of my own sports show featuring my fabulous wrestlers 'The Glow Girls,' and my boxers, 'Stallones' Knockouts,'" according to her site.

"The Expendables 2" opened over the weekend and quickly grabbed the top spot at the box office. It features Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jason Statham, and other action stars kicking butt and taking names.
