Blake Shelton Explains Infamous ‘Bromance’ With Adam Levine

Finally! The secrets behind Voice coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine's "bromance" are out! But, uh, hey. Don't call it a bromance...okay?

"Can we please kill that stupid term?" Levine grumbles in an interview with People. "We're just friends. It's called friendship!"

Shelton and Levine are the cover boys for the April 2 issue of People, which hits newsstands this Friday and bears the slogan "The Odd Couple." In the feature story, Shelton relates how the whole bromance (sorry, Adam) thing swept the nation. Not surprisingly, it seems to have sprang out of one of Shelton's trademark goofy rants.

"A few weeks ago somebody asked me, 'What about you and Adam's bromance. Is there anything to it?'" Shelton notes. "And I sputtered off, 'Yeah, I'm going to make out with him.' The next thing you read is, 'Blake wants to kiss Adam.'"

Shelton doesn't seem to mind being part of a very public "bromance"--at least, not as much as his buddy Levine does. "It's fun," he says. "It's just like we're sitting around the bar, making jabs at each other."

Shelton and Levine's cover story also reportedly includes the pair's thoughts on fellow Voice coach Christina Aguilera, as well as a look into their double dates with Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert and Levine's supermodel girlfriend Anne V. Sounds like a good one!
