Alabama championship rings up for auction on eBay (PHOTO)

We love it when random NCAA memorabilia hits eBay because it gives us a chance to identify the real superfans out there?

Because only a superfan would pay $50,000 for seven Alabama championship rings listed on the auction site. The seller has a 2011 BCS and an NCAA ring, a 2009 SEC, BCS and NCAA ring, a 2008 Sugar Bowl ring and a 1999 SEC player's ring. The seller notes that all of the rings belonged to former players. There's no bidding, only a chance to buy it now.

While this would be a pretty cool haul for the ultimate Alabama fan, we have to wonder why you would want that 2009 Sugar Bowl ring? I mean, that was the game the Tide was throttled by non-BCS foe Utah in one of the most — at least from an Alabama perspective — humiliating defeats in recent memory.

But hey, it's a postseason ring! There are so many teams that would kill for a Sugar Bowl "participant" ring.

Anyway, if you've got $50,000 you were storing in a coffee can under the bed, well, here ya go.

If you do happen to be the winning bidder, be sure to drop us a line about your bling.

Thanks to Lost Lettermen for this gem
