Bobby Petrino finally sells his Fayetteville home

Bobby Petrino's purging of all things Arkansas is now complete.

According to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal, Petrino has sold his Fayetteville home for $1.7 million to Gary and Janet Anderson. The house was originally purchased by the Petrino's for $2.25 million back in March 2008, which equates to a $550,000 loss, but methinks Petrino was itching to get out of town.

The home had been on the market for the past two years after the family decided to downsize.

Since Petrino was fired from Arkansas on April 15 for using his position as football coach to hire his mistress to the university, he has been steadily getting rid of all things Arkansas related. In May, Petrino sold his home on Beaver Lake and also decided to auction the motorcycle he crashed that ultimately led to the exposure of his affair. Earlier this month, his Arkansas luggage and golf bags ended up at a Goodwill in Springdale, Ark.

It sure seems like Petrino is trying to move on from Arkansas the way the school has moved on from him.
