Will Gabby Douglas be golden again on the uneven bars?

Gabby Douglas already won gold in the all-around and team competitions. She's the first American woman to pull the double, but she's not finished yet. Douglas will attempt to add to her medal haul at the women's uneven bars event final on Monday.

The bars have long been Douglas' forte. Her routines are filled with high-flying release moves and perfect form. Her bars' scores made huge contributions to the team scores during both qualifications and the team final. During the all-around competition, her bars routine kept her in first place after Russians Viktoria Komova and Aliya Mustafina hit their more difficult routines.

The event final pits the eight best gymnasts on one apparatus against each other. Douglas will again have to face Komova and Mustafina. Chinese gymnasts are traditionally powerhouses on the bars, and He Kexin and Yao Jinnan can put up big scores with innovative sets.

But her biggest competition will come from Great Britain's Beth Tweddle. In front of the very loud home crowd, Tweddle scored the highest on bars in qualification. She is expected to make the podium on Monday.

Douglas has the skills and scores to win another medal, but as this week's events have shown, anything can happen in gymnastics. The uneven bars event final starts at 9:50 a.m. ET.
