‘Titanic’ coming to 2D/3D Blu-ray for the first time this September
On May 31, 1910 -- 101 years ago today -- the RMS Titanic was launched into the water off of Belfast, Ireland. Of course, the crowds that gathered that day had no idea that less than a year later, the largest ocean liner that had ever been built would collide with an iceberg and sink to the bottom of the ocean, taking the lives of over 1,500 people.
To mark the occasion, Paramount Home Entertainment is announcing that director James Cameron's Academy Award-winning epic "Titanic" will arrive on Blu-ray for the first time on September 14, 2012. The film will be available both in 2D and 3D versions, and each four-disc set will feature over 2 1/2 hours of previously unreleased bonus features.
Check back later today for our exclusive interview with James Cameron, where he reveals which of the 30 deleted scenes featured on the set was the hardest for him to cut from the film. Until then, you can get an exclusive look at Kate Winslet from the new documentary, "Reflections on Titanic." And keep reading to see all of the features that will be available on the new Blu-ray and DVD sets.
