The Only Nonstop Flight Between Boston and Savannah; With Strong Demand, JetBlue Will Add 200 More Daily Seats Between New York and Savannah Beginning in March

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - February 13, 2014) - JetBlue Airways (JBLU) today launches service from both Boston's Logan International Airport and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. The popular southern destination is the 83rd city in JetBlue's route network and is the airline's 50th nonstop destination from Boston. JetBlue is the only airline to fly nonstop between Savannah/Hilton Head and Boston.

"We are delighted to bring JetBlue's award-winning service and lower fares to Savannah and Hilton Head, a unique destination that appeals to leisure and business travelers alike," said JetBlue President Robin Hayes. "Today we're adding 600 new low-fare seats to the Savannah region, and the reception has been so strong that we're already planning to fly larger aircraft to New York beginning on March 6, resulting in an additional 200 seats each day."

"This is a wonderful and exciting day for Savannah, Hilton Head and the Coastal Empire. We welcome JetBlue to our airport and are looking forward to a great partnership that will strengthen our ability to support the economic development and tourism/convention efforts of the entire region," said Greg Kelly, Savannah Airport Commission's executive director.
