Clippers reach deal with Jamal Crawford; re-signing Chauncey Billups

The Los Angeles Clippers have reached contract agreements with guards Jamal Crawford and Chauncey Billups, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Crawford agreed to a four-year deal that will pay him $25 million, including bonuses, sources said. Billups received a one-year contract that can be worth up to $4 million.

Wednesday is the first day NBA free agents can officially sign contracts.

Crawford averaged 13.9 points and 3.2 assists while making 30.8 percent of his 3-point attempts last season with the Portland Trail Blazers.He also received strong interest from the Dallas Mavericks. Billups, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin pushed hard to convince Crawford to come to the Clippers, a source said.

Billups played 20 games for the Clippers before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury. He hopes to be ready for the start of the season.

The Los Angeles Times first reported Crawford and Billups agreeing to sign with Clippers.
