Giuliana and Bill Rancic reveal the gender of their baby at co-ed shower

Giuliana and Bill Rancic shared a big secret with the attendees at their baby shower: They're having a boy!

The stars of Style Network's "Giuliana & Bill" were the guests of honor at the co-ed baby shower held at a private home in Los Angeles on Sunday, which also happened to be Father's Day. Celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss organized the shindig for the first-time parents and their 100 guests. While the partygoers noshed on barbeque, followed by sweet treats including cupcakes, ice cream, and cake, the real highlight of the kid-friendly event was when the couple, who married in 2007, broke the news that the baby they are expecting this summer is boy.

"We're so excited to meet our little boy, and this was the perfect beginning to his arrival," Giuliana told Life & Style at the shower.

The Rancic's journey to parenthood has been met with many obstacles. For several years Giuliana, 37, was unable to conceive and when she finally became pregnant she suffered a miscarriage. Then last October, the E! News host and "Fashion Police" commentator was diagnosed with breast cancer. Because of her ongoing cancer treatments, they decided to try a gestational carrier — and it worked!

"This was our last stop," Bill, 41, said when he and Giuliana broke their baby news on the "Today" show in April. "This was it," he said. "We had those two embryos that we had banked prior to learning about the breast cancer, and with the medicine she was on (which meant Giuliana will have to wait years before trying to personally get pregnant), this was our last effort. The prayers were answered."

With the baby shower behind them, we're sure they're onto bigger things — like baby names!
