One of the nation's most notorious criminals, Al Capone, was born on this day 115 years ago. He lived and died -- of a heart attack, not violence -- in a lovely Miami mansion that served as his alibi for the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. (He made sure he was seen there while the slaughters happened.)

The house sold last year for almost $7.5 million, according to a fascinating Zillow story on the house.
