Sergio Garcia destroys a microphone, but at least it was a good swing

It's got to be a bit rough being Sergio Garcia. Every time a major comes around, the old "best never to win a major" tag gets trotted out in association with him .... except when it doesn't, which is somehow worse.

Alas, poor Sergio is having a rough week at Olympic, just like everybody else in the field, and on Friday at the par-3 third decided to take out a bit of frustration on the on-course microphone, as you see above. Garcia would bogey that hole en route to finishing the day at plus-4 ... not good at an everyday tournament, but certainly good enough to make the cut this week at Olympic. So he'll have an opportunity to make amends to that poor microphone.

This, of course, is why they don't let golfers bring clubs to press conferences.
