Jon Stewart: CNN's Prank Calling Kennedys at 5 in the Morning (Video)

Unless you are being awakened with the news that you have just been nominated for an Oscar, it's safe to say that most people would not be happy to receive a random call at 5 in the morning.

CNN apparently never got that memo, because, as Jon Stewart mocked on Tuesday's "Daily Show," the 5 a.m. CNN series "Early Start" includes a segment called "Wake 'Em Up," in which hosts Ashleigh Banfield and Zoraida Sambolin cold call famous people whose phone numbers they happen to have.

One victim: Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert Kennedy. Stewart played a clip in which Banfield called Kennedy, and, upon awakening her and telling her not to curse, began peppering her with questions about her childhood and the assassination of her father.

"You don’t cold call a Kennedy at 5 in the morning!" Stewart said. "Do you know how many unexpected tragedies this family has suffered? I don't know if you know this, but Kennedys almost never get good news from CNN at 5 in the morning."

Check out the "Waking Bad" segment below, which also includes the "Early Start" crew cold calling a man and telling him they're from the FBI:
