North Dakota receives North Dakota State’s NCAA championship banner
If North Dakota State is waiting for its FCS football championship banner from the NCAA to arrive in the mail, it might be waiting awhile.
The North Dakota State Bison won their first FCS football title this past fall after defeating Sam Houston State 17-6; unfortunately, their championship banner ended up at the University of North Dakota. The Bison went 8-3 a year ago.
Now, North Dakota did win a football national title in 2001, which kinda looks like 2011, and of course it's in the same state, which could explain the mix-up, right?
In any case, it's unclear what's going to happen with the banner and whether North Dakota is going to send it to North Dakota State or hold it for ransom. My guess is the former.
