Crush: Hollywood’s Next Generation‘Glee’s’ Lea Michele and Cory Monteith Pack on the PDA
"Glee" couple Lea Michele and Cory Monteith aren't at all trying to hide their romance! The two indulged in some PDA on Wednesday while in NYC for Fox's upfronts. They were spotted holding hands while strolling in the Big Apple's SoHo neighborhood during the day, and Cory even reportedly carried Lea's shopping bag. That night, the co-stars stepped out again to watch a hockey playoff game between the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils at Madison Square Garden, where they shared a smooch. Lea, 25, and Cory, 30, have been rumored to be dating since February. Photos taken of them while they vacationed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last month appear to have confirmed it.
"Glee" fans were once worried about whether Lea's character Rachel, Cory's character Finn, and some of their other favorite members of New Directions would be back on the show after the May 22 graduation episode, but show creator Ryan Murphy has assured us that that's not the case. "We had a meeting, and you know we've become like a family, and I said to them, 'Anybody who wants to stay on the show will stay on the show,'" he told New York Magazine's Vulture blog. "They're all coming back. Anyone who is a regular is coming back. Everyone said yes.... It doesn't mean everyone will be doing 22 episodes, but everyone wants to stay in our family and our world. I wanted to make sure those actors know that if they want to have a home, they have a home. If they want to explore new and different things while also having a home, that is also an option." While the fourth season of "Glee" will continue to follow the students back at McKinley High, it is also expected to feature the characters played by Lea, Cory, and Chris Colfer studying the performing arts in New York.
Next season will also see the "Glee" debut of actress Kate Hudson, and the return of Sarah Jessica Parker. But if what you really love about the show is its musical numbers, there's some exciting news on that front: the show will produce a second Britney Spears tribute episode! It's scheduled to be the second episode of the season, and will air right after Britney's first night as a judge on "The X Factor," according to Entertainment Weekly.
