Miley Cyrus Hangs With Her Puppy By Day, Famous Family By Night

Miley Cyrus' new puppy is one lucky dog! A week after her rescue pup Happy accompanied her on a trip to Miami, the star had the pampered pooch cradled in her arm while running errands in Studio City yesterday.

Dressed in a black-and-white skeleton-inspired mini-dress and carrying a leopard-print bag, the 19-year-old went shopping and grabbed a bite to eat with Happy in tow. During the excursion, Miley logged lots of snuggle time with the dog, a possible Rottweiler-beagle mix, whom she rested on her shoulder and nuzzled while she walked.

Happy joined Miley's pooch posse earlier this month after the actress found the dog abandoned in a box at Walmart and brought him home. Just two weeks later, she and her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, adopted another dog, Mary Jane, bringing her total canine count up to five, including her other dogs Lila, Floyd, and Ziggy.

The star just loves being surrounded by her four-legged friends, recently tweeting: "As all my dogs jumped on my face the first words out of my mouth this morning... 'I am living my dream life.'"

Happy was not on the guest list last night when Cyrus stepped out with her famous family — including her parents, Billy Ray and Tish, and sisters, Brandi and Noah — to see the musical "Chicago" at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood.

The youngest Cyrus, 12-year-old Noah, looked like a mini version of the Hollywood star with a bun atop her head, a leather jacket, and boots — just like Miley.

Meanwhile, Miley continues to distance herself from her "Hannah Montana" character and Disney image. Last week, she appeared on Lifetime's "The Conversation" with Amanda de Cadenet and talked extensively about sex. Then on Sunday, she showed up at the Billboard Music Awards wearing one of the racier outfits of the evening — what appeared to be just the top of a white tuxedo.

Perhaps she's spending so much money on dog food for Happy and her four other pups, she couldn't afford the bottoms.
