Which underclassman made biggest mistake by turning pro?
At the College Basketball Roundtable each week, we ask members of the coverage staff for an opinion about a current topic in the sport.

Outside of the obvious candidates, which underclassman made the biggest mistake by going pro? See the full list of those who declared.
Mike Huguenin's answer: I get that the "college experience" isn't for everyone, and I understand that some players figure that if they're going to play basketball, they want to get paid for it. That said, I think a lot of underclassmen made mistakes this year unless they wanted to play overseas. I don't necessarily think Texas A&M G/F Khris Middleton is headed overseas, but I also don't think he has any shot to be drafted in the first round. The biggest reason is that his offense is lacking. He played in only 20 games this past season because of a knee injury, and when he did play, he shot poorly (41.5 percent overall and 26.0 percent from 3-point range). Middleton is an OK defender and has good size (6 feet 7 inches/210 pounds). But he's not an explosive athlete to begin with, and given his knee injury, you wonder if he might've been better off staying for his senior season and proving his knee was sound.

Steve Megargee's answer: I was surprised the Villanova guard tandem of Maalik Wayns and Dominic Cheek decided to turn pro. Neither is considered a potential first-round pick – in fact, both could go undrafted – so I figured they'd stay in school to help Villanova bounce back from a 13-19 season. The move certainly doesn't help Villanova, which now must replace its two leading scorers from the 2011-12 team. And I don't know if it helps the long-term future for either player, as both might have been better served with one more year of college experience.
