Carrie Underwood And Mike Fisher Talk Babies With Oprah

It goes without saying. As soon as a famous couple--or even a non-famous one--gets married, the baby talk begins! Nashville power pair Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher, who will celebrate their second anniversary on July 10, are certainly not immune to this phenomenon. In fact, they've pretty much fielded queries about their family-planning the minute their honeymoon ended.

Underwood's standard answer has always been that she and Fisher--the hotshot center for hockey's Nashville Predators--are too busy to even think about kids. However, the superstar singer may seem to be having a change of heart. In their first-ever joint television interview, the couple talk openly to Oprah Winfrey about the possibility of children in the future.

When asked point-blank by Winfrey if kids are on the horizon, Underwood seems to hem and haw a bit. "Soon?" she replies, but her voice is uncertain. "No."

Fisher, on the other hand, has no doubts: "Yeah, of course!"

"He's going to be the best dad ever," smiles Underwood. "That makes the whole parent situation seem much, much better."

Underwood was a bit more decisive about how many children she wants. "I think two is a good number to have," she states. "I don't want too many." To which Fisher chimes in, "Two or three."

Sounds like somebody is more than ready to be a papa--what do you think?

Underwood and Fisher's exclusive interview with Oprah, which was filmed at their home in Nashville, airs Sunday, May 20 at 9 p.m. ET on OWN. Be sure to watch and let me know your thoughts!
